Season 1 : Episode 8 (Pulse Edition)

Runtime: 60 minutes

ACT 1 — THE FORGOTTEN CHILD (0:00 – 10:00)

Flashback: Elena Drey Before the Rift

We meet Elena Drey, a bright but emotionally volatile teen navigating the foster system. She’s been labeled “too intense”—too much to handle, too much to keep.

Everything changes when she meets Anika Drey, an older foster mom with a calm heart and quiet strength. For the first time, Elena feels safe, even loved.

Their bond grows fast—but one morning, without warning, Anika drops Elena off at a foster home and disappears. No goodbye. No explanation.

Elena calls. Waits. Nothing. The silence becomes betrayal. The house where she was left behind becomes her emotional grave.

That night, the Rift hits. Alone, sobbing, surrounded by torn photos and broken furniture, Elena fractures. Rage, grief, and abandonment twist her reality—and from it, Fracta is born: a splintered being driven by love turned to pain, and a heart desperate not to be left behind again.

ACT 2 — GUYS’ HIKE, GIRLS’ SPA (10:00 – 20:00)

CRC Rec Room:

The guys plan a nature hike, with Kairo pushing for some outdoorsy bonding.

Kairo: “Fresh air, long walk—what’s not to love?”
Trask (flatly): “Everything.”
Pax (grinning): “Eight miles. Easy.”
Trask: “You’re trying to kill me.”

They drag Trask out, cracking jokes as they prepare for the climb.

Meanwhile, the girls are prepping for a peaceful spa day.

Rose: “Facemasks. Tea. Silence. We earned this.”
Solace: “Finally, peace.”
Schema: “Even my algorithms could use a break.”
Vita: “Zen mode activated.”

Just as they begin to relax, an alarm blares.

Rose (checking the console): “Massive Rift pulse. 8th and Main.”
Schema (groaning): “Goodbye, serenity.”
Solace: “So much for glowing skin.”

ACT 3 — THE COOKIE TRAP (20:00 – 30:00)

The team arrives at a quaint house filled with cats and the smell of cookies. The Rift pulse is centered here.

Anika Drey opens the door, smiling politely.

Anika (sweetly): “Just me and my babies. Come in—I’ll make cookies.”

The home feels warm—but off. Photographs of foster kids line the walls, each frozen in time.

Rose: “Your grandchildren?”
Anika (distantly): “No. Just foster kids. One… was difficult.”

Her voice cracks. Her eyes lose focus.

Anika (murmuring): “Why did you leave me?”

Solace glances around, uneasy.

Solace (whispers): “Something’s wrong.”

As they try to leave, Anika grows frantic.

Anika (desperate): “Please, stay! I never have visitors anymore!”

Suddenly, she throws hot cocoa, her voice twisting into something darker.

Anika (snapping): “You think I’m just a crazy old cat lady!”

Her form glitches—and in a flash of light, Fracta emerges, jagged, unstable, and seething.

Fracta (Elena, raging): “You left me when I needed you most!”

FIGHT SEQUENCE — Solace, Vita, and Schema vs. Fracta (30:00 – 45:00)

Fracta’s chaotic energy shatters the space around her, creating dangerous fissures and emotional waves.

  • Schema stumbles—her logic circuits fried by the dissonance.
  • Vita moves unpredictably, her agility thrown off.
  • Solace is hit hardest—bombarded with visions of abandonment and personal loss.

Rose tries to get Anika to safety, but Fracta intercepts them.

Fracta (mocking): “You think you can save her? You don’t know pain like I do.”

ACT 4 — THE GUYS RETURN (45:00 – 50:00)

Kairo and Pax crash through the window, blocking a deadly strike.

Solace (sarcastic): “About time.”
Kairo (grinning): “Had to see the view first.”

With the full team assembled, Fracta intensifies the battle—her emotional chaos infecting each of them:

  • Solace becomes emotionally shut off, cold and cutting.
  • Pax grows reckless and impulsive.
  • Kairo loses his inner compass.
  • Schema spirals into nihilism.
  • Vita collapses in doubt, questioning her worth.

Fracta focuses on Anika, rage boiling over.

Fracta (screaming): “You left me! You abandoned me!”

Anika (softly): “Elena… is that you?”

Fracta falters. Her memories rush back—warmth, love, trust. Her fury flickers. She crumples under the weight of emotion.

ACT 5 — A MOTHER’S REGRET (50:00 – 58:00)

Inside the shattered house:

Anika finally tells the truth.

Anika (tearfully): “She was my last. My favorite. I didn’t leave because I stopped loving her—I left to protect her.”

Her abusive ex-husband had threatened them. Anika fled to keep Elena safe, thinking she’d come back. But shame and fear kept her silent.

Anika (sobbing): “I thought I was saving her. Instead… I broke her.”

Rose (gently): “You didn’t fail her. You loved her. That love shaped her—and it still can.”

Fracta, listening in the shadows, trembles. Her face twists—not in rage, but in confusion, grief, and longing.

EPILOGUE (58:00 – 60:00)

On a rooftop, storm clouds swirling.

Fracta stands alone, her form flickering, unstable. Her eyes glow with fury.

Fracta (bitterly): “They protected the one who broke me.”

Lightning cracks in the distance. She tightens her fists.

Fracta (coldly): “Let’s see if they can protect everything else… when I shatter their world.”

End of Episode.
